CrossFit 17.2

CrossFit 17.2 in two words. Oh. Ouch.

17.2 announced at 5:00. Watched it with a few folks and then by 5:30 was doing it. And it kicked my butt. I did it RX but only made it to 70 reps. It’s so deceiving. 50# walking lunges. No problem. But that’s where I just about died. Seriously. Those made it so stupid easy peasy toes to bar were hard, and the cleans should have been no problem, but thanks to the walking lunges … just standing and breathing was an ordeal of epic proportions. But 17.2 is in the books.

17.2

Rounds 1-2

  • 50 Foot walking lunge, 25 feet down, turnaround, then 25 feet back. Dumbbells in front rack position. 50lbs for men 35 lbs for women.
  • 16 Toes to bar
  • 8 Dumbbell power cleans (one head of dumbbell must make contact with floor)

Rounds 3-4

  • 50 Foot walking lunge, 25 feet down, turnaround, then 25 feet back. Dumbbells in front rack position. 50lbs for men 35 lbs for women.
  • 16 Bar Muscle-Ups
  • 8 Dumbbell Power Cleans (one head of dumbbell must make contact with floor)

Rounds 5-6 – return to first triplet

Rounds 7-8 – return to second triplet
