CrossFit Open 17.1

17.1 is in the books. It was a really tough one, but a lot of fun. I did better than I thought I would do. I think if I had another month of training under my belt I could have gotten to the 50’s. I hit 156 reps RX and only biffed the box jump once for a no rep. No injury, which is not typical for me when I mess up a box jump. I am sure I looked like a graceful, awkward monster as I struggled to pull my shins out of the way of the box. It felt good to be doing an Open workout again. 2013, 2014, and 2015 were great. I skipped 2016, but here I am again for 2017 to impress all of California with my low scores. 11,000th place baby!

This morning I went to CrossFit and it was mostly an active recovery workout, but still very intense. I’ll take the weekend off and then be back full force on Monday. This weekend will be active recovery and lots of protein. 🙂
