Day one has been really TOUGH! A part of this lifestyle is eating within an 8 hour window and not eating for 16 hours. So 11-7 each day is when I am able to eat. That’s the tough part. I felt a lot of hunger and I feel a huge craving for sugar. I imagine this will get much worse before it gets better. As well, I desire a Venti Carmel Latte. Badly. But no more! The one saving grace I have here is my BCAA recovery drink that is 0 Calories, 0 Carbs, and 0 Sugar. I never cared about that until now. Not only does this help me recover, but it fills my need for a 6 dollar coffee full of sugar, carbs and calories.

Strength: 225lbs back squats 6X3

Then

30 Toes To Bar
30 135 lbs. Clean and Jerks
30 Toes To Bar

15 minute cap – I got 16 reps into the last set of toes to bar.

The numbers don’t look quite right when entered into My Fitness Pal, I am not sure why. I am following a meal plan exactly which add up differently on paper. My guess is that there is a discrepancy with the DB. The numbers are close enough that I am happy with it.

Update

It’s after 10 PM and I cannot sleep. The hunger is so unreal. It’s an issue of self control, breaking a habit of late night eating, and weaning off of carbs and over 3K calories a day. 1200 calories may be too low, but I think it could also be that CrossFit always makes me really hungry, but it’s delayed. Typically I’ll CrossFit and then 4-6 hours later, I crave carbs, usually apples and peanut butter. 🙂 So I am reading, adding to this post, texting with my wife and doing everything I can to not eat. Tomorrow , is going to be crazy. CrossFit is at 8AM and I don’t eat until 11AM. Not sure how that is going to work. My pre-workout has no carbs or sugar, so no nutritional value. I hope I can get through the workout and then not eat until 11 without dying.
