I have really been enjoying a few reading plans on You Version. I use these to augment my normal devotional life. When I pick up the kids there are times I am waiting in line for the kids to be released and come to the car. I used to play games or Pintrest (don’t judge) ideas for remodel and projects. This past week was a trial of sorts, seeing how it went. And it was excellent.
Three Must Have Reading Plans on You Version For Dads
These are relatively short devotionals for connecting with your kids as a father. They are simple, to the point, and really solid. Of the three, this is my third favorite. Some of the tips are pretty basic, but still good to cover.
This is my second favorite of the three plans. These tips are so practical. A lot I already know, but it’s good to be reminded and the author does a great job of presenting each mistake. There is a few paragraphs to read, a short 1-2 minute video to watch, and then verses that follow. One of the mistakes really hit home with me and caused me to do some deep soul searching. It’s tough to change patterns, but Phil 4:13.
This last plan is my favorite. I read the book awhile ago, but it was so rich and so deep that a study like this is really, really awesome. It breaks it down into small bite sized pieces that I can apply right now. The book does to, but for my learning style, the study is just better. But that may not be the case for you. I recommend the book if you do this study and enjoy it. I am a huge fan of Tim Keller.
