Update WordPRess Via WP-CLI

Updating WordPress Core via the CLI.

Updating WordPress via the CLI is pretty easy.

First make sure you have wp-cli installed. I’ll use my Linode as an example.

# wget

Saving to: ‘wp-cli.phar’

# chmod +x wp-cli.phar

# sudo mv wp-cli.phar /usr/local/bin/wp

Then it’s as simple as this:

# /usr/local/bin/wp core update
