I like having a bit more control over featured images in the editor. I don’t always want to show it on the blog listing page. Sometimes it’s nice to have several posts without the featured image; other times, I want it there. This was the first feature I added to the theme I am building for the reboot of this blog.

Image Fades
Another great feature is the way images fade and have a slightly rounded edge. So I added that as well. Just little things here and there make a huge difference. Just a simple little button that fades the bottom. It’s 10% right now. Ideally, this would be selectable, but for now it’s enough. [Feature Request]
