Creating the lftcrwd app was fun. A huge learning journey that I am so glad I set out on. I am using it day to day as I work on my fitness and bodybuilding, and I love it. I am going to continue to develop it.

I built it because my trainer paid someone to help him with his online coaching business and that included an app that really sucked. I offer to write him one for free. I am a huge fan of Open Source, being employed by one of the biggest names in Open Source, I guess that’s not really a surprise.

I see a lot of options out there for such apps, and the folks writing them are charging $6,000 – $15,000 for them. The lftcrwd app is just a web based Next.js app, so not as sophisticated as a native IOS or Android app, and it does not have a built in CRM or anything like that, but it is feature rich and very practical. So I don’t think this will hurt any legit businesses out there that offer robust applications to trainers. But it will help the trainer trying to get off the ground. It’s trainer focused, so great for bespoke experiences and online coaches. Not just trainers – you can use this for stretching, pilates, anything really.

I am going to be wrapping things up with the app so that it’s really easy to install, even for a non-technical person.

The Repo will be public in the next day or so here: https://github.com/BitharborAI/lftcrwd

Contribute to Open Source: If you don’t have write access to a project, you fork it, make your changes, and then submit a pull request to suggest those changes be merged back into the original repository.

If you do use it, be sure to make features requests or open a PR. I am happy to continue growing this with feedback and input.
