A few years ago I completed 75% of the INE course designed to prepare one for the eJPT certification. My Sabbatical ended and life picked up again and I was unable to get back to it.

A few weeks ago I decided to finally get back to it and obtain the eJPT certification. There have been some big changes since I went through the course, most notably, the course is gone! I see it for a second before a 404 is shown. It’s also no longer free. 🙁 So I took a bit to rethink my plan.

$39 a month is not too bad for access to what I need. It’s called the “Fundamentals Monthly Subscription” and gives me access to the Penetration Testing Student learning path.

Also included at this level:

  • Access to INE’s Introductory Learning Paths including Pentester Student, CCNA, and Cloud Foundations.
  • Github and Azure projects for intro courses
  • 250+ Hands-on labs associated with the Introductory Learning Paths

Today I signed up and started my way through the course. It’s much different. I like it. It starts with information gathering and so far, the “look and feel” is pleasant. I am really hoping that connecting to the labs is much smoother as well. That was was very tedious, the labs were slow and booted me often.

I’ll update this post as I make progress through the course.
