I’ve paused the training for the eJPT for now. The course material is just not great. As I mentioned before, the first section (1.1) was great, but the instructor and the quality of the videos thereafter, are not. I dread the 30 minutes a day I spend on them, and learning is not as successful if you dread it. So I am not completing section 1.4. I am going to pause and see if they revamp the course. My hope is that the instructor in the first section will be the replacement for the entire course.
I am going to switch things quite a bit. Instead of plugging forward with Penetration Testing, I am going to focus on taking my programming skills to the next level with Python. I am hoping I can use that skill at work and eventually pivot into a role closer to systems and Infosec.
I would still very much like to obtain a cybersecurity certification, but it may have to be much slower than I would like. I am not complaining, I love my life and my career. I would just prefer to be doing Penetration Testing or Blue Teaming.
